Is Swat valley is safe now for domestic tourists?

Yes, totally safe. I have had three trips to Kalam in the past 11 months, with the latest trip as recent as last month. All roads are open and public transport is readily available for Malam Jabba and Kalam. The authorities have recently flattened the ruins of PTDC Resort and plans for a brand new resort is in the pipeline. As of now, there is no accommodation available around Malam Jabba skiing area, there are however numerous resorts at a 10-15 minute walk down the hill. Lodging won't be a problem in Kalam though. Swat is lovely! do go.... promote local tourism!
